SALT LAKE CITY – April is Fair Housing Month in the State of Utah. Utah Fair Housing Month is designed to raise awareness of fair housing rights and of the many housing opportunities available to the residents of the state. The Utah Labor Commission (the “Commission”) offers free training to tenants, landlords, home seekers, property owners and managers, realtors and lenders regarding Utah housing law.
The Utah Antidiscrimination and Labor Division (UALD) of the Commission enforces Utah law which prohibits housing discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, source of income, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and familial status.
For questions regarding Utah housing law or outreach events regarding Utah Fair Housing Month, please contact UALD at (801) 530-6801 or at email@example.com.
