UTAH LABOR COMMISSION DECISIONS
NOW AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET
SALT LAKE CITY, June 7, 2010
– The Utah Labor Commission is pleased to announce the release of a new searchable database that allows individuals interested in workers' compensation, employment discrimination and occupational safety, to locate Labor Commission decisions on those subjects. Anyone searching for a previous Commission decision applying a specific statute or addressing a particular issue, can now conduct a search over the Internet using the Labor Commission’s new searchable database. The database contains all decisions issued by the Commission and its Appeals Board after January 1, 1995. Additionally, some decisions are also available from 1994 and new decisions will be added to the database within 48 hours after issuance.
The database uses the “Document Mine” search engine which allows searches using the same search patterns as Google and will allow interested individuals to find Commission decisions using a variety of phrase combinations and numerical case numbers.
