Adjudication Division
Mission Statement
To conduct all formal proceedings
of the Utah Labor Commission concerning all aspects of employment related
law in a fair, efficient, and effective manner.
The Division of Adjudication has the responsibility to conduct the Commission's
formal hearing process. Its primary function is to hear and decide appeals
arising from decisions made by Divisions in the Commission and of workers
compensation coverage denials. Hearings are held in Salt Lake City or
in our Southern Utah office in Parowan.
The Adjudication Division also processes all workers compensation dependent
benefit claims in cases where a worker has died as the result of an industrial
accident or occupational disease.
